FROM WEDNESDAY 18th MARCH 2020, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, WE WILL BE OPERATING A TELEPHONE TRIAGE SERVICE ONLY.
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SURGERY UNLESS ADVISED TO DO SO
CONTACT US BY TELEPHONE ON 01832 734444 AND OUR RECEPTION TEAM WILL BOOK YOU A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION IF APPROPRIATE. ONE OF OUR CLINICIANS WILL THEN CALL YOU. IF YOU DO REQUIRE EXAMINATION, THE CLINICIAN WILL GIVE YOU A TIME TO COME TO SURGERY.
WE WILL STILL BE CARRYING OUT SOME NURSING PROCEDURES AS LONG AS THE PATIENT AND ANYONE THEY HAVE HAD CONTACT WITH REMAINS FREE FROM SYMPTOMS OF COUGH AND/OR FEVER AND/OR ACHING.
We know that COVID-19 will have a detrimental impact on the safety and lives of patients affected by Domestic Violence and Abuse and their children.

We are temporarily suspending online appointments. This is to mitigate any risk that potentially infected patients book appointments online and attend the practice when they should be receiving advice to self-isolate or go through testing. All appointments will be triaged by telephone accordingly.

Additional same day and booked appointments are available outside of your core General Practice hours. These appointments will be provided by GPs, Nurse Prescribers, Practice Nurses and other clinicians. Appointments are located at

For on the day booking please call 01832 734 444 from 8am.
All call-handlers have been trained to check your contact details and briefly find out what you need (but you may say this is private). They will record your comment on our staff phone-back screens so that they can respond appropriately. We aim to respond to all clinical problems within 2 hours and any administrative matters the same day.
Urgent clinical problems will receive a call-back immediately. (please leave your phone switched on and near you and the line free).
You can book an appointment with the person you wish to see, up to two weeks in advance or alternatively, phone on the day and an appointment with a member of the medical team will be offered (within 24 hours).
Our Nurse Practitioners have undertaken specialist training to be able to assess and diagnose new acute presenting problems.
Telephone Advice may include queries about a prescription, a test result, a hospital appointment, a referral, a form that needs to be completed or advice about a minor ailment. Please call and ask the receptionist who will be able to help you.
Telephone Consultations with your Doctor
If you only need advice from the doctor or nurse you can book a telephone consultation by calling the Surgery. This is usually implemented by a "call back" system by the doctor or nurse as soon as practically possible after a request by the patient. Please make sure you give the correct phone number to the receptionist.
Telephone appointments are only available during surgery hours.
Advice is also available from the NHS 111 service by calling 111 from your landline or mobile phone.
If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. For further information please see our Chaperones policy.
If you are unable to attend for your appointment please tell us in good time so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.

As part of our commitment to all our patients we monitor the efficient use of appointments. If a patient regularly fails to attend a booked appointment, the practice reserves the right to remove them and their family from the practice list.
